Here’s where things got tricky: the check was made payable to me, my wife, and our mortgage company, introducing layers of bureaucracy I hadn’t anticipated. The mortgage company’s process to release the funds was cumbersome and frustrating. They provided just 25% of the funds upfront, requiring ServPro to complete significant work before inspections would unlock additional payments.

Despite my efforts to convey the urgency, the process dragged on. Feeling stuck, I turned to Mike Budinsky again. Mike became a hero in this saga, tirelessly advocating on our behalf. He coordinated with supervisors at the mortgage company and worked closely with ServPro to push through the roadblocks. His persistence was a game changer, allowing restoration work to finally begin—nearly three months after the flooding.

What started over Labor Day weekend didn’t see resolution until late November. Yet, thanks to Mike’s unwavering dedication, the situation became manageable. He went above and beyond, proving the kind of support that turns customers into lifelong fans.
